2. Data We Collect

We collect identity and contact details (name, email, optional employer), billing references where needed for invoices, learning activity metadata (progress, attendance), support tickets, and cookie identifiers described in our Cookie Preferences page.

3. Purposes

Data is used to deliver courses, provide mentor feedback, issue certificates, improve content, respond to enquiries, comply with law, and secure our systems.

4. Legal Bases

Processing rests on contract performance for enrolled learners, legitimate interests in securing and improving the platform, consent where required (e.g., non-essential cookies), and legal obligations for tax or regulatory requests.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal defense and accounting. Learning artifacts may be archived pseudonymously for curriculum analytics unless you request deletion that does not conflict with law.

6. Sharing

We use infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery) under data processing terms. We do not sell personal data. Mentors see learner work only within cohort scopes. We may disclose information if required by competent South African authorities.

7. International Transfers

If data is processed outside South Africa, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or provider certifications compatible with applicable law.

8. Security

We apply access controls, encryption in transit, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected incidents promptly.

9. Children

Services are aimed at adults and older teens with guardian consent where required. We do not knowingly collect data from young children without appropriate consent.

10. Your Rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and related consumer laws, you may request access, correction, deletion where applicable, restriction, objection, and information about automated decisions.
